Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley)
Dan Humphrey is Jenny’s older brother. His full name is Daniel Rudolph Humphrey. Dan is the son of Rufus Humphrey, a previous rock musician who decided to become an owner of an art gallery. Dan first met Serena at a party they both attended to. For Dan, Serena seems to be the only girl who had the interest to talk to him especially when Serena greeted him. In the series, Dan is seen writing poetic poems as part of his aspiration of becoming a famous writer. He also became an assistant to a very famous writer. As a student, he dreamed of attending Dartmouth. However, his plans changed and decided to attend Yale for college instead.

The fictional character Dan Humphrey is played by American actor Penn Badgely. Penn Dayton Badgely was born on November 1, 1986 in the town of Baltimore in Maryland, U.S.A. As a child, he spent his growing years in two places: Seattle in Washington and in Richmond, Virginia. Before acting, Penn’s voice was featured in the video game Mario Golf 64. His very first acting stint was feature in the comedy series Will and Grace. Aside from the CW series GossipGirl, Penn was also featured in The Brothers Garcia, Bull, Daddio, and The Young and the Restless.
