In an attempt to impress her boss while working as a production assistant, Serena makes a mistake. Nate and Chuck g to Los Angeles to visit Serena, meanwhile, Chuck is trying to get over Blair by getting involved with an actress. After a summer of planning their wedding, Blair and Louis go back to New York. Dorota is depicted as being pregnant, though it is later revealed that Blair is the one who is actually pregnant. Blair tries to keep it from Louis that she is pregnant.

Nate reconnects with a woman with whom he had a brief fling, and she offers him a job at her publishing house. Dan wants to stop his novel from being published in a local magazine, and he seeks Chuck’s help. Charlie tries to prevent Serena from finding out that she is Ivy. Beatrice over hears Blair talking about her pregnancy to Dan. Dan also learns that Noah Shapiro, his former mentor is responsible for publishing his novel. Though Blair has decided that she does not want to know who her baby’s father is, she tells Chuck that it could Louie’s. Chuck is devastated, and Louis is ecstatic about the news. She is later seen hiding the results in a drawer.

Dan gives copies of ‘Inside’ to most of his friends, including Serena, Chuck, Nate and Blair. Serena is asked to get the movie rights to the book in a week’s time. She tries to get back into Dan’s good graces. When Louis’ mother and sister visit New York, Blair announces her pregnancy. Nate is frustrated that Diana does not want to speak about their romance publicly. Nate tries to make Diana jealous by asking Charlie out and Serena tries to keep Blair from finding out details about her shower.
