Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively)
Serena van der Woodsen is one of the most famous girls in the Uptown East Side. Aside from being East Side’s “It Girl”, Serena is also Blair Waldorf’s best friend. Before joining the Blair’s school, Serena previously attended a boarding school in Conneticut. However, for mysterious reasons that are still not known to Serena’s friends, she decided to attend Manhattan and Constance Billard High. Serena can easily be spotted in a crowd of students as she is a tall and pretty blonde. She flashes the newest fad in fashion in their school.

She has a romantic relationship with Dan Humphrey. The beautiful Serena van der Woodsen is played by American actress Blake Lively. Blake was born on August 25, 1987 in Los Angeles in California. She is the daughter of actor Ernie and actress Elaine Lively. Blake was raised within the bounds of Southern Baptist beliefs. She is the youngest in her family composed of five siblings. Her acting skills were first seen in the movie Sandman in 1998. Her debut filmwas also directed by her father Ernie. Aside from the Gossip Girl, Blake was also featured in the following TV series and movies: The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, Accepted, Simon Says, Elvis and Anabelle, and Saturday Night Live.
